Lovettsville VA Land and Homes With Views

I've been working with buyers that are looking for land to build a house on. One of their criteria is the view. Mountain views preferably. Elevations can be deceiving, and many times properties that appear level, have great mountain views. The drive from Point of Rocks MD on Lovettsville Rd going towards Lovettsville is mostly a steady uphill climb. Mid way up there are views of Catoctin, Sugarloaf, and Short Hill mountains. There is no shortage of mountain views from Lovettsville VA. The other day I walked a 34 acre mountain top property with good views in Waterford VA. Other factors about the property were negatives though, so my search continues. Another factor to consider when wanting a view is, many times views are seasonal. So when leaves are on trees, views could be limited. And depending on location of property, there could be restrictions on removing trees to improve views. If property is in Mountainside Overlay, a Conservation Easement, a Scenic Easement, or in Forestry, there will be restrictions on harvesting trees.

Buyers also need to consider access and road maintenace agreements when looking at properties that are elevated. This photo of sunrise is the view from level ground in Lovettsville. That is tip of Catoctin mountains in Leesburg. Behind me is view of Short Hills. So don't assume you need a mountaintop lot to have a view.Lovettsville Sunrise But if you want to see higher elevations, I will sure take you there to see them. You might or might not be sorry you asked me. I took a short 15 minute drive to show the view from a higher elevation. The following photo provides a view across the Northern part of Lovettsville. I can show the Short Hills, George's Mill, The islands, Wedding Rock, Potomac river, and Views from Harper's Ferry WV to Brunswick MD. I hiked up South Mountain to Weverton Cliff to show land across the Potomac in Lovettsville. This photo is not from a drone. It's me on the cliff looking down on route 340 and the RR tracks. The tractor trailers are coming out of Harper's Ferry WV.
